Where Does GABA Come From?

GABA, derived from natural sources, is a nonprotein amino acid. It is found in various natural sources, including the mammalian nervous system, botanicals such as tomatoes, grapes, potatoes, and tea, as well as fermented foods like kimchi and germinated brown rice.

How Does GABA work?

GABA affects the brain through the enteric nervous system (ENS), even though it can't pass the blood-brain barrier (BBB). This interaction with the ENS helps in promoting relaxation.
